Smart home planning

We do not start with a preferred platform. We start with the home, the people living there, the budget, privacy expectations, maintenance appetite, and how important local control is.

Sometimes Apple Home is enough. Sometimes Home Assistant is the right control layer. In larger renovations, KNX can be worth planning early. In many homes, keeping Plejd or Hue is the most practical first step.

Planning can produce a practical roadmap: what to do now, what to leave for later, what electrical work may be needed, which products to avoid, and how the system should be maintained.

This is especially useful before renovation, when lighting and wiring choices can either make the home future-ready or lock it into awkward workarounds.
